Outline for Summer Shop Rides 2011
Starting 12th April at 6.30pm and every Tuesday there after
Goals: to improve timetrial speed and strength
April: Group rides, plus recce the hills we will be training on as well as the K37 10 mile TT. Benchmark 10 mile tt 26th April.
May: Improve TT specific strength- this will include seated climbing, over gearing and climbing in TT position. Benchmark 10- 24th May (hopefully you will see some improvement)
June: Along with Strength sets we will start introducing a speed element to some of the sessions. Benchmark TT 28th of June.
July: Long speed interval sets in TT position. Benchmark 10 26th July
August: Short Speed interval sets in TT position, Benchmark 10 30th August
Notes: The above outline is aimed at sprint and Olympic distance athletes that want to improve their bike leg.
All sessions are open to anybody of a reasonable standard, if you are new to cycling i would recommend you contact tri-1st before hand to make sure you will be able to keep up.
We will be using the K37 10 mile TT course organized by Warwickshire RC for our Benchmark TT’s. There will be a small fee of £2 on the night payable to Warwickshire RC.
It takes about 30 mins to ride to the course from the shop (nice warm up) so the plan will be to leave the shop at 5.45 sharp.......1st rider starts at 7.15pm.

Transition Training
Wednesday 13th April at 7.00pm
Birmingham University Running Track
Additional dates: 4th May, 4th June, 6th July, 31st August, 28th Sept.
Please bring along your bike, helmet, shoes (cycle and run), a towel, talc and everything you plan on racing in (sunglasses, number belt etc).
There will be a small Cost of £7.50 to cover track hire.

Natural Running Seminar
Saturday the 2nd April 9-11am ish!!
Venue: Birmingham Uni Sportex building, followed by a track session
Maintenance Evenings – dates
Venue: Tri-1st
Friday the 25th March 7-9pm
Friday the 5th June 7-9pm
There will be a small cost of £12.50 (included free tube + levers) This will be a hands on maintenance class, please bring your front wheel as we will be practising puncture repair.
Space is limited so you need to book to guarantee your place.
